Membership in ASCA® is required to be a member of WASCUNY. Ownership of an Australian Shepherd is not required to be a member of WASCUNY.

ASCA
ASCA® Agility, Tracking, Obedience and Rally Programs are open to ALL BREEDS including mixed breeds.
The ASCA® stockdog program is also open to other breeds recognized as herding dogs by ASCA® in their Stockdog rule book. These other breeds have the opportunity to earn ASCA® titles at any ASCA® sanctioned stockdog trial but may Not qualify or compete for merit awards or the ASCA® Stockdog finals.
In order to have ASCA® trial points tracked and to receive ASCA® titling certificates, each non - ASCA® registered dog will be required to have an ASCA®
Tracking Number. Your dog does not have to be a purebred to receive a tracking number from ASCA®.
You do not need a tracking number in order to compete in Agility or Stockdog. No dog however without an ASCA® individual registration, LEP number or ASCA® tracking number may compete in an ASCA® Obedience Trial or Tracking Test.
The ASCA® Conformation program is designed to promote the exhibition of ASCA® registered purebred Australian Shepherds and award those that conform to the ASCA® Breed Standard.

ASCA® Full Membership:
Full members receive extra benefits such as voting privileges (Board members are voted on once per year), 50% off the cost of any registration service (dog and litter registrations, transfers, leases, etc.), and will receive the Aussie Times magazine for the full term of their membership, which is 1 year.

ASCA® Service Membership:
Service membership is a basic type of membership. It does not come with voting privileges or the Aussie Times, and you must pay full price for ASCA® registry services. We recommend Service membership for anyone who will rarely use the ASCA® registry services. If you are registering your dog with a tracking number to compete in ASCA trials, for instance, this is a good option for you.
